More recently we have introduced fine wines from Italy & Spain. Philip Slocombe, CEO & Chairman
Philip Slocombe, CEO rare and Fine Wine CompanyA former pupil of Millfield School, Philip enjoyed a career in professional cricket (MCC & Somerset CCC) from 1974–1983. In 1991 he and his wife created a hotel and restaurant (Relais Silence) in France before selling the business to form the Rare and Fine Wine Company Limited in 1995.
Over the past 20 years Philip has forged long term supplier relationships with many leading domaines in Burgundy, Bordeaux and Champagne in France and Piedmont, Tuscany and Mount Etna in Italy and supplies fine wines to private and trade clients in Europe, North America and Asia.

Charlie Villers, Private Sales
Charlie Villers, Rare and Fine Wine CompanyCharlie began his working life in Christie’s Wine department in 2005 and studied the WSET Foundation, passing the Intermediate exam and the Advanced exam with distinction. In 2007 he participated in the harvest at Palliser Estate in New Zealand before returning to work at Jeroboams for over 4 years, of which 2 years were managing the Mayfair branch.
Charlie joined the Rare & Fine Wine Company on October 2012 bringing his own depth of knowledge of wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, Italy and the New World. He is also experienced in organising Corporate or private wine tastings and will be responsible for updates on Twitter and Facebook.
